Scout STEM Experiences

Scout STEM Experiences

Put teamwork, curiosity and practical skills into action.

Give your scouts a shared challenge they can solve with their hands and ideas. Building, testing and explaining a project creates room for practical skills, collaboration and the satisfaction of making progress together.

A challenge worth tackling together

Start with your scouts and the goal they are working toward.

Share the badge or learning objective, the scouts’ ages and what they have already tried. Our curriculum team can discuss an experience that connects those goals to active making. For a larger gathering, multiple activity focuses may help different groups participate within the same event.

Build and investigate

Explore robotics, engineering or design through a concrete task. A working project gives scouts a way to test an idea and explain what they have learned.

Practice working together

A shared build creates opportunities to divide a task, listen to another approach and help a teammate through a difficult step.

Connect to your objectives

Bring the exact requirements you want to address. We discuss which parts the activity can support and what your leaders need to handle separately.

The value for your group

Something to demonstrate, not just describe.

Practical work gives scouts a concrete reference for a skill or idea. They can point to a design decision, explain a test or share how their team improved a result. The program becomes part of their learning journey, with requirements and completion responsibilities agreed in advance.

From first conversation to program day.

  1. Send the scout age group, headcount and any specific badge requirements.
  2. Choose a studio visit or discuss delivery at your gathering.
  3. Confirm activities, leader roles, completion requirements, timing and cost.

Questions from group organizers.

Does participation automatically earn a badge?

No. We can shape activities around a badge goal, but the exact requirements and any assessment or sign-off arrangements must be confirmed with your organization and leaders.

Can you support a jamboree or multiple groups?

Discuss your attendance and learning goals with us. Multiple activity focuses and event stations can be considered as part of a larger delivery plan.

Do scouts need previous STEM experience?

Tell us their ages and experience. We can discuss an appropriate challenge and level of instruction for your group.

Where does the program take place?

A Guild Hall visit or a mobile experience may be suitable. Confirm location, space requirements and availability with the team.

Tell us what you want this experience to make possible.

Start with your audience, goals and preferred dates. We’ll help you choose a practical format and confirm the scope, availability and cost.
